It may still feel so surreal the whole wide world has gone the most unexpected way for almost since early 2020. Our faces are becoming nearly unrecognizable hidden behind surgical or patterned masks. Stores, stations, and restaurants have lines and seatings neatly arranged at least 1m apart from the next individuals. Virtual tours to faraway museums, galleries become consolation as we get stuck at distance learning and remote working. And the devastation of not being able to celebrate once in a lifetime occasions in the desired ways.
No matter how surreal our daily lives have become, this special day can’t be more real.
